This Option allows the user to to output a model to an ANSYS ® ADPL formatted file for use with ANSYS®. When the user selects this menu option the User Interface the program will write an ADPL file with the name <modelname>.inp to the model directory. If the user has not specified the model name and model directory these file will be written however the file will have blank name ( .inp) and the file will reside in an working directory which is determined by a platform dependent process. The user can also create these files using the ANSYS command. Also, due to the differences in the group and element data structure of SASSI and ANSYS® there have been some conversion problems with some models. It is suggested that the user use the ANSYSREFORMAT command before converting a model which eliminates many of the issues. This functionality uses elements that are compatible with ANSYS® 11 and 12. These elements have been depreciated in newer versions of ANSYS®. Therefore the models written by this functionality may not work later versions in ANSYS®.
