SHEAR,<panel>,[fc],[fy],[Pn],[Nu],[bre],[bys]

This command will calculate the shear strength of a panel. The command will provided results for 4 different shear equations (ACI 318-08, Wood1990, Barda1972 and UB emprical) as well as the boundary conditions for Wood and ACI 318-08 equations. The model data will be used to calculate the appropriate height,width and areas for each shear equations. The rest of the data will be provided by the user in the arguments of the command. The shear equations have been calibrated to give results in Pounds (lb) force. Metric building models will not work with the equations.

• panel - panel number. If panel = 0 shear will be calculated for all panels defined by the user.
• fc - compressive strength (psi)
• fy - reinforcement yield strength (psi)
• Pn - web reinforcement ratio
• Nu - axial force (lb)
• bre - boundary element reinforcement area (in^2)
• bys - boundary element reinforcement yield strength (psi)
