The MOTION module reads the transfer functions from File 8, and performs an efficient frequency domain interpolation using a 2DOF transfer function model with five parameters to compute the final response at a set of specified nodes selected by the user. Acceleration, velocity, or displacement response spectra may be requested in different location points and degrees of freedom. The MOTION module requires only File 8 as input. Baseline corrected nodal point motions are saved on File 13 which a formatted file. In the last version we included in MOTION and new analysis option that automatically filter any potential spurious sharp spectral peaks/valleys that sometimes are produced by the original SASSI interpolation scheme in the computed transfer functions. This new option could improve significantly the quality of results.
