MERGESOIL,<Struct>,<Soil>,[Mode],[Stiff],[Stiff2],[SepLevel],[Mapping]
Merge a Structural and excavation volume model together in an active model. All elements in the soil model will be converted into soil elements and the materials will be converted to soil layers. See the MergeSoil Example for usage. During the node merging proces, the higher number node will no longer be used, and can be removed with the RMVUNUSED command.
Struct – Model Number of the Structure
Soil – Model Number of the Excavation volume
Mode - merging nodes on the structure excavation interface
0 = 0 sided - On the bottom surface of the model, all coincident nodes between structural and excavation elements will be merged. No nodes on the lateral surface of the model are merged, and the structural and excavation elements will retain their original node connections.
1 = 4 sided (default) - All coincident nodes between structural and excavation elements will be merged on both the bottom and the external lateral surfaces of the model.
2 = Spring Interface Connection - Similar to 4 sided, however the merged node is connected via a stiff spring to an interaction node at that location.
3 = Spring Interface Soil Separation Model - Similar to the Spring interface connection, however a different spring constant specified by the user is applied above the specified Z level
Stiff - Stiffness Constant for Springs in Mode 2 & 3. (Default = 107)
Stiff2 - Stiffness for Soil Separation (Default = 10)
SepLevel - Global Z Level for soil separation
Mapping - Mapping file for the merge
